Whitney Houston has chosen to extend her rehab treatment after completing a 30-day program to tackle her substance abuse issues.

The singer, who has long battled drug and alcohol addiction, enrolled in an out-patient rehabilitation program in California last month to seek help for her personal problems.

The Bodyguard star’s stint at the clinic was due to come to an end this week, but she has decided to continue with the treatment to aid her recovery, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports Houston has also hired a “round-the-clock life coach” to help her kick her bad habits for good.

Whitney Houston is back in rehab. A representative for the superstar singer confirmed Monday that Houston is undergoing treatment. Kristen Foster says Houston is in an out-patient program for drug and alcohol addiction treatment . She says it is a voluntary measure and part of Houston’s “long-standing” recovery process.

The 47-year-old, one of the most successful singers in pop music history, has battled problems with drug addiction for years. But in 2009, as she released a comeback album, she declared herself healthy and clean.

However, her 2010 tour overseas was troubled: Houston canceled some dates due to illness and received negative reviews from fans who were disappointed in the quality of her voice and performance. Earlier this year, she gave an uneven performance in tribute to cousin Dionne Warwick at music mogul Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy gala.

It’s unclear how long Houston will be in rehab or where she’s being treated; Foster had no further comment. However, Houston has been visible recently: Last week, she sang on stage with Chaka Khan during Prince’s concert in Los Angeles.

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina has taken to the web to deny reports she is rehab bound following suggestions she is struggling with drug addiction.

The 18 year old, whose father is Bobby Brown, was embroiled in a drug scandal earlier this month after pictures of her allegedly snorting cocaine at two separate parties were obtained by the National Enquirer.

Bobbi Kristina denied the speculation, insisting the photographs were set up by an ex-boyfriend to look as if she was indulging in narcotics.

New rumors circulated suggesting the teen was heading to a rehabilitation centre to ensure she did not follow the same path as her famous parents, who have both battled with drug addiction.

But she has now taken to her Twitter.com page to take aim at the reports, writing, “Excuse me but I’d like to say that I am Not going to rehab? I’m perfectly healthy and I am not addicted to anything but life.

“Home with the family_ pffft media cracks me up ! Rehab my a**, think what you want, but I’m a blessed perfectly healthy young lady.”

Bobbi Kristina ‘Krissi’ Brown – the music icon’s child with ex-husband Bobby Brown – was photographed at a party inhaling the substance nasally through a small cylinder.

According to her ex-boyfriend – who took the pictures – 18-year-old Bobbi is addicted to cocaine, just like her mother Whitney was.

He told National Enquirer magazine: “I’ve tried to stop her. But all she said was, ‘I’m just like my mother!’
“Whitney needs to see what her daughter is doing to herself. If Krissi doesn’t stop soon, this addiction to cocaine will kill her.”

The shots – which also include a picture of her sitting next to series of chopped out lines of white powder – were taken at a friend’s house in Alpharetta, Georgia, the town where she lives with her mother.

The unnamed former boyfriend – who was in a relationship with Krissi for over two years – insists the teenager’s substance problems are spiraling out of control.

Recalling one party they went to as a couple, he said: “Krissi was pretty wired. I also saw her kiss a man and drink a 40-ounce bottle of Budweiser.”

The magazine also claims she is a marijuana user and heavy drinker.

However, Krissi has refuted the allegation she has a cocaine problem and has accused her ex of setting her up for money because the relationship went bad.

In a series of posts on her twitter page, she wrote: “The pictures – a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes.

“But it’s really not what it looks like . People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this.”

She also revealed her mother Whitney had been comforting her “to the max” in the wake of the allegations.

The 47-year-old singer confessed to being a cocaine addict herself in a 2009 TV interview with Oprah Winfrey and admitted her and her ex-husband Bobby’s drug use spiraled out of control after she starred in hit movie ‘The Bodyguard’ in 1992.

She said: “Me and Bobby were lacing our marijuana with base. We would buy a kilo. We were not pipe smoking.
“You roll it up and you smoke it in your weed. It’s almost like heroin cocaine speedballs but you level it off with marijuana.”

Whitney Houston wowed celebrity guests at music mogul Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party on Saturday when she took the stage with her cousin Dionne Warwick for a duet.

Sir Paul McCartney, Prince, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Usher, Neil Young, John Mayer and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs were among the A-listers in attendance at Davis’ annual bash.

The crowd was treated to a number of rousing performances, including a duet between Jennifer Hudson and Barry Manilow, a mini-set by R. Kelly and an uncensored version of Cee Lo Green’s Grammy-nominated hit F**k You.

Mumford & Sons, Janelle Monae, Mary J. Blige, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis and the Kings of Leon also hit the stage, but it was Houston’s finale that dazzled the audience.

The singer, whose performances in recent years have been blighted by bad reviews, proved she was back in fine form as she sang her hits, including I Will Always Love You and It’s Not Right but It’s Okay.

Houston finished off her mini-concert by inviting her legendary relative to join her for a rendition of Warwick’s That’s What Friends Are For.

Reunited couple alert! Whitney Houston, 47, and singer/reality star Ray J, 29, are back together again.

The two dined together at Capital Grille in Atlanta on Thursday.

A source close to the lovebirds said that though this was their first date in a long time, Ray J postponed his promotional tour for a few days and spent the night with Houston at the Ritz Carlton. (Houston’s rep did not respond.)

We have more on Alexis Houston, the gender-bending singer who held a press conference to deny a falsely rumored affair with Matt Lauer.

Last week, we revealed that she was born a man. Alexis, who falsely claimed to be a cousin of Whitney Houston, says on her Web site that she learned how to sing gospel as a 6-year-old at the Newark church where Whitney’s mom, Cissy Houston, sang. But Gary Haase informs us, “Alexis (real name, Wellington Stuart) was born in Nassau, Bahamas. His father, Wendell Stuart, was the most beloved singer the island had ever known. I worked as his music director from 1978 till his untimely death from cancer on Dec. 10, 1987. I met Wellington when he was 4. I knew his mom, Marjorie, as well as his sister, Wendy . . . Wellington was nowhere near Newark at age 6 . . . It is a travesty that he would claim to be related to Whitney Houston, when his own father was a giant and loved by his country.”

Matt Lauer has angrily dismissed reports suggesting he and his wife have split

The Today show regular was alleged to have cheated on his wife of 12 years, Annette, with a relative of Whitney Houston’s, singer Alexis Houston, while he was covering the Winter Olympics in Vancouver earlier this year.

But he insists that story and another one suggesting he had moved out of the family’s home are works “of fiction”.

Lauer tells People magazine, “I am living in my apartment with Annette and my children as a family and a couple. I have never moved out. I am not moving out. There is no truth to that.”

The newsman reveals he and Annette, a former model, haven’t had an easy marriage – but he would never cheat on his wife.

He adds, “The stories you’ve read over the years are not true… I don’t think we’re any different than any married couple that’s been together for 12 years. The accusations are ridiculous and I’m not going to (dignify) them with an answer. It’s not true.”

His wife has also spoken to the magazine, admitting the couple has had marital problems in the past, but, “We have worked through it.”
