A representative for Zsa Zsa Gabor says she is back in a Los Angeles hospital to have part of her leg amputated.

Publicist John Blanchette says doctors examined a growing lesion on Gabor’s leg Sunday and decided she needed to return to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for surgery.

The 93-year-old Hungarian-born actress broke her hip in July and has been hospitalized several times since. She asked for a priest to read her last rites in August.

Zsa Zsa Gabor had been resting at her home after being given her last rights in August, however, her spokesman John Blanchette told Reuters she was “in a great deal of pain”, and that her husband Frederick Prinz Von Anhalt found her to be “not responsive” on Tuesday.

It is reported that Von Anhalt called for an ambulance and Gabor was taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center – the hospital where she was offered liver surgery last month. Despite doctors suggesting the surgery would give the actress a 50-50 chance of survival, Gabor declined, instead wanting to “spend her final days at home”, according to Blanchette.

Gabor – who appeared in a string of film, television, and stage roles – became a well-known Hollywood personality, partly down to her high profile relationships; she was married nine times in total, and once to Conrad Hilton, the grandfather of Los Angeles socialite Paris Hilton. She famously starred as Jane Avril in the 1951 film ‘Moulin Rouge’, as well as in the Broadway play ‘Forty Carats’

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, a fixture in Hollywood for six decades, asked that a priest read her the last rites on Sunday, following hospitalization two days earlier due to complications from hip surgery.

The 93-year-old Gabor, whose string of movies, television shows and wealthy husbands dates to the 1950s, was visited by a priest at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, her husband Frederick Prinz von Anhalt, said.

Gabor was able to speak “very little,” though she was conscious, he said.

Gabor was admitted on Friday to the hospital to treat two blood clots, only two days after being released for hip replacement surgery. Gabor broke her hip on July 17 when she fell out of bed while watching the television game show “Jeopardy,” said her publicist John Blanchette.

“Her health has been up and down ever since,” he said.

The Hungarian-born Gabor has appeared in more than 30 movies, and her penchant for calling everyone “dah-ling” in her Hungarian accent made her a well-known Hollywood personality.

She, along with her two glamorous sisters Eva and Magda made several appearances on radio and television shows in the 1950s in the 1950s and 1960s. Zsa Zsa’s first starring role in the movies was in “Moulin Rouge,” followed by “Lili” and later “Touch of Evil.”

Married nine times to a string of husbands that included a Turkish diplomat and the hotel magnate Conrad Hilton, Gabor celebrated her 24th wedding anniversary to Von Anhalt in the hospital on Saturday, said Blanchette.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s publicist says the 93-year-old actress is in extremely serious condition after having two blood clots removed at a Los Angeles hospital.

Publicist John Blanchette said Sunday that he had spoken with Gabor’s husband Frederic Von Anhalt, who had told him of her condition. Blanchette described the situation as “very sad.”

Blanchette says Gabor was in surgery for several hours Saturday for the removal of the clots from her upper body, one of them very close to her heart.

Gabor was hospitalized Friday afternoon because she was bleeding and in a lot of pain.

She had broken her hip July 17, had hip replacement surgery and had just returned home from the hospital Wednesday.

Doctors plan to let Zsa Zsa Gabor return home Friday, about three weeks after the 93-year-old actress was hospitalized with a broken hip.

Gabor’s publicist, John Blanchette, said Saturday that she would spend the rest of the week receiving physical therapy.

Gabor’s husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, told Blanchette that the actress was joking with nurses but that she appeared depressed. He hoped the return home would restore her spirit.

Blanchette says Gabor broke her hip July 17 as she was lifting herself from bed into a wheel chair that tipped over. The Hungarian-born actress’ condition began to deteriorate after hip-replacement surgery days later.

Blanchette says von Anhalt bought the actress a hospital bed and was arranging for home care.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband says the actress remains in critical condition after receiving a blood transfusion.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt said Saturday that doctors are hopeful new medication will help the 93-year-old recover. She received the transfusion Friday night.

Von Anhalt says his wife is conscious and was able to squeeze his hand and whisper a few words Saturday morning.

Gabor broke her hip after she fell out of bed last weekend at her Bel-Air home. She had hip replacement surgery Monday.

The Hungarian-born Gabor has had to use a wheelchair after being partially paralyzed in a 2002 car accident.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to a hospital Saturday night after falling out of bed and breaking her hip, her husband said.

John Blanchette, the 93-year-old actress’ publicist, said she was in serious condition with broken bones.

Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, told The Associated Press early Sunday that she had broken her hip. He decline to provide other details.

Blanchette said Gabor was watching television in her Bel Air home when she reached to answer the phone and tumbled to the floor.

“She was watching her favorite show, `Jeopardy,’ when the phone rang,” he said. “She reached over to pick it up and fell.”

He said several bones were broken, but said he didn’t know any other details of her injuries.

Von Anhalt called an ambulance and Gabor was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

The hospital said early Sunday that family members were by her side but did not disclose any other details.

The actress is partially paralyzed from a 2002 car accident, which forced her to use a wheelchair. She also reportedly had a stroke in 2005.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s lawyer blames convicted swindler Bernard Madoff for a hefty tax bill owed by his client.

According to documents obtained by The Associated Press on Friday, the Internal Revenue Service filed a lien of more than $118,000 for the years 2001 and 2002 against the 92-year-old actress on Oct. 5 in the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.

Gabor lawyer Chris Fields estimates that Gabor lost about $7 million in Madoff’s Ponzi scheme and the tax bill is part of the fallout. Fields says third-party money managers invested Gabor’s money with Madoff.

Fields says Gabor and husband Frederic von Anhalt are pulling together their resources and working out a payment plan with the IRS.
