A Gosselin “family day” turned frightening Saturday when an ambulance was called to the Wernersville, Pa., home of Jon and Kate Gosselin to take Jon’s grandmother to the hospital after she fell.
“Just to clear up any faulty reports: my grandmother did in fact fall in my driveway but she’ll [be] fine,” Jon tweeted Sunday morning. “Thank you for all of the concerned calls.”
According to a Lower Heidelberg police officer, an ambulance and police from the township were dispatched to the Gosselin residence late Saturday afternoon. “I received a dispatch to go there, an elderly female fell,” the officer tells PEOPLE. “She was transported to a local hospital.”
The officer could not confirm if 911 was called nor could he describe the extent of the woman’s injuries.
Jon, who is sharing the home and custody of his eight children with his estranged wife Kate, had his turn with kids Saturday, and invited his relatives over for a visit at the time of the fall.
“Family Day!” Jon tweeted Saturday. “Kids got to play with their grandparents, great grandparents…so great to see so many generations together.”
