SOUND BITES FROM ‘THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW’:
Wendy, after asking the audience if anyone has seen Eddie Murphy’s movie, Meet Dave, which has been unsuccessful at the box office:
“I guess nobody’s met Dave, but Johnny Gill, honey.”
Wendy “getting to know” her viewing audience:
“I love to party and it’s nothing to see me standing in the club – but standing on the banquette, so I’m letting you know before the Enquirer picks up anything. Yes, that was me.”
Roker, when asked if he goes to parties around town and why he’s not in the newspapers:
“That’s because nobody invites me.”
Roker on why his favorite restaurants are in the neighborhood:
“Debra, my wife, doesn’t like to go more than like ten blocks from our house. Remember in the A-Team when Mr. T…to get him on the plane, they used to have to drug him and blindfold him? That’s what I have to do to my wife to get her downtown.”
Roker, when asked about his history on television:
My department chairperson in college told me I had the perfect face for radio…see where as you’re gorgeous on TV and you’re on radio and made for TV, me not so much.
Roker, when asked about his daughter, who was a challenge in her younger years:
“She’s come back, she’s doing great. My daughter Courtney. She’s a culinary arts major and she wants to open a restaurant.”
