This is no joke – “Funny Girl” Barbara Streisand’s assistant has been busted on drug charges.
Tina Fortenberry was arrested in Malibu on Wednesday after cops found cocaine, metamphetamines and a dangerous weapon inside her car, cops said Saturday.
Police pulled over Fortenberry, 52, on the Pacific Coast Highway when they saw her vehicle had expired tags. When they searched her car, they allegedly found the drugs.
They also seized a “sap,” a blackjack-style weapon, according to the celebrity Web site TMZ. Malibu police couldn’t confirm the type of weapon.
Fortenberry – who was on her way to the post office on an errand for Babs – was also busted for driving with a suspended license.
Streisand’s gal Friday – who has worked in the past as an assistant on the films “Dr. Dolittle 2,” “Liar Liar” and “Problem Child” – was released on bond and is set to appear in Malibu Supreme Court in July.
