His New York Observer is putting a Manhattanite spin on March Madness with Socialite Slapdown, the bastard child of Park Ave. Peerage and one of the bajillion March Madness Facebook apps.
Socialites are broken into four divisions, and seeded: Tinsley Mortimer snagged the #1 seed in the “Beauty” division, while Kristian Laliberte is a lowly #15 seed for “Brio,” whatever that means.
Prizes include a $1900 Gevril watch, and a $1000 “socialite beauty package” at John Barrett.
The winning socialite gets a full-page ad in The New York Observer. Whee.
