I wanted to take a hot minute to direct your attention to an event Spinner has been covering on the blog called the ‘Voices Against Poverty’ concert that is taking place in Germany in light of the G8 Summit.

Today in Rostock, Germany, Bono, Bob Geldof, Youssou N’Dour and a host of international musicians evoked the lyrics of the Beatles and Bob Marley to urge world leaders to aid impoverished countries. At the ‘Voices Against Poverty’ concert, musicians led the crowd in sing-alongs of ‘You Never Give Me Your Money’ and ‘Redemption Song.’ Organized by Geldof, the concert’s mission is to raise awareness of world poverty amid the G8 summit, being held in nearby Heiligendamm.
